PIERCING THE VEIL
Come with me, my Beloved,
And I will share with you worlds unseen and unknown,
Worlds that can only be viewed with naked eyes,
free of judgment, thought, or need.
These worlds lie right before us.
Everywhere they are offering themselves,
Waiting to be perceived as a ripe apple
waits to fall from the tree.
Come with me, and share in this Beauty that
lies behind the ordinary,
Hidden in its ordinariness like a costume that
one put on long ago but forgot to take off.
Now, it is a matter of becoming real again –
Of allowing the nameless and wordless
ordinary world to speak to our hearts, not our minds,
And in so doing, to open ourselves
to the beauty and holiness of what is.
