I dreamed I walked on hills of gold,
And everywhere they touched my feet,
A thousand jewels sprang from the ground
And spread about me carelessly.
I walked far up into the hills,
And as I walked, my heart did sing,
For never had my eyes beheld
A treasure more than that of kings.
I did not know by what decree
These jewels had sprung from dusty earth,
And hoped to find within myself
A place that was of equal worth,
That could accept this boundless gift
Of manna coming through the stones,
For I, who had let go of all,
The Earth now greeted as her own.
