You came in the company of angels,

And the glory of Your light blew away all that remained

     of the dark time.

No longer a shadow hovering over the Earth,

     nor beloveds of the light

     weeping for their tattered hearts,

No longer the shade of doubt drawn over fertile minds,

     or the anguish of waiting

     lying deep within the soul.

Only a glory of light washing away everything,

Bringing to all it touches, new life and hope,

Bringing to all who receive it, an ordination of renewal.

Arriving from the beyond into a darkened space,

You came quietly, yet with power befitting such a great event,

Your light, casting its rays into every corner

     and every space, so that what was

     is changed forever.

This is the moment for which the Earth has waited,

Enduring patiently in her infinite love,

Waiting always for the holy Presence

     to heal the wounds of her burdened heart.

Now, beloved, Your promise is kept,

Your faithful ones rejoice that Your sanctified Breath

     will dwell upon the Earth.

They rejoice and they sing,

For the world is made new,

     on this first holy day

     of Your infinite Creation.
