The dawn arises
like a seed which suddenly bursts into life,
Opening,
it reveals what was inside,
Sending forth the emanations of its past,
unknown to all,
hidden in the ground of its being.
Having given birth to itself
in the silence of self-containment,
Away from eyes that could see,
or know, or feel,
what it held within,
Suddenly it stretches,
stem rising to the sky,
leaves opening to the sun,
Becoming what it had always been.
